Too much of a good thing?

So, this week I’m getting more and more into makeup. Last Thursday I put on some foundation – I didn’t like the results so I made a tinted moisturizer from the foundation and some cream. I didn’t like the coverage, it was a bit too much.

But that is how I viewed my make up. I haven’t got any reactions when I wore “normal” foundation (on Thursday) and the tinted moisturizer (Friday). Heck, even my blush was a bit much, and I worried a bit about it, but I didn’t hear anything about it.

I have to admit I wore a pretty neutral look that day. Tinted moisturizer, blush, bronzer and mascara. However, I will go as easily out of the house with a full smokey eye. In very bright colours. Wonder how many strange looks I’ll get.

I have never beeing told that my make up was too bold. Ok, my parents thought it was strange that I left the house with red lips. I didn’t care, actually. There is nothing wrong with red lips.

Has anyone told you that your make up looks wrong? What did you think of it? And: have you ever had any remarks on somebodies else’ make up?

Lol.
